We hope this info will inspire you to visit someday soon!
Starland Community is located in a rural neighborhood, on a desert bluff, surrounded by mountains and canyons. We welcome adults (18 and older) from all walks of life. We are LGBTQIA inclusive honoring all visitors. Most of the property could be clothing-optional. We offer a rustic and simple, yet loved place to relax, and enjoy the splendors of the Mojave Desert.

Our facilities are available for group and individual retreats workshops or other events.

Climate
Starland Community is located in California's Mojave Desert, and is 3500 ft. above sea level. We have
four distinct seasons at Starland Community. Average temperatures (F): January: High-50; Low-30;
April: High-80; Low-50; July: High-95+; Low-70; October: High-80; Low-50.
Winters are often quite windy and cold, sometimes a trace of snow falls; Spring and Fall are the best
times to visit, with balmy warm temperatures, few rain storms, and calm air. Summers can be hot,
windy, and dry. Generally, be prepared for unusual conditions, since the weather is known to change
quickly, and in a short time.

Volunteers
Starland Community is a home for its residents, and a quiet retreat for members and guests. As a
private not-for-profit organization, Starland Community's residents and other volunteers serve as the
keepers of the land, and the hosts to its members. Our funding comes from member dues, fees for
overnight accommodations, resident rents, and friendly, generous donations.

Membership and Dues
We require every person in your party to sign up for Membership. This process is simple, and is done
upon arrival. The basic Bright Star Membership is $10 per person, and is good through Dec. 31, 2018.
Couples and those bringing a friend to Starland may consider the Shining Star Membership, at $60 per
person. A Shining Star Member is offered two nights, twice, during the term of membership, for two
people, free! Further details are available upon request. For the Members who have been active with
Starland Community for at least one year, we offer the Shooting Star Lifetime Membership, $1,000 per
person. No more annual dues renewals, and several exciting perks come with this membership. Ask us
for more details.
